Reika

Although they're clueless as to why Reika chooses to communicate so 'rudely,' Team Meerkat's members have long gotten used to reflexively overlooking her excessively unkind words. No one else can compare to them in recognizing Reika's strength and reliability, considering how long they've spent working with her as a team. She's not only fantastic at managing explosives but also relatively perceptive and cautiously bold. In their various missions, the teammates who put their lives in Reika's hands can all sense that in spite of her cold outward appearance, she's absolutely a dependable partner.
Contrary to how outsiders think of Reika as "malicious," the members of Team Meerkat find her highly sensitive and overly anxious, even somewhat cute. At least, that's what it looks like whenever she constantly suspects someone's following them, is on high alert over any Single noise or movement, and repeatedly inspects their equipment on every mission. Once this impression formed in their minds, they automatically began coming up with logical reasons as to why Reika would never use anybody's stuff and always ate by herself.
Without any overly zealous members on the team, none of them have taken Reika's insistence of "drawing lines with others" to heart. Instead, they always reassure her whenever she plans to take apart her equipment and inspect them, which naturally bewilders Reika, though she does quietly accept their tangible kindness.
Team Meerkat's members may have already established trust with Reika, but evidently, it's still a ways to go before she will truly open up and help them understand why she lives this way and is so distrusting toward others.

Excluding the dormitory assigned by the B.C.R.L., Reika is more inclined to living alone, though it clearly isn't to pursue the "ten awesome benefits of youngsters' solitary living" but for the sake of better security. She typically doesn't invite anyone to her home either; if it's absolutely necessary to go near her residence, it should best be done under her company and supervision... After all, all types of devices' shadows can be seen through the gaps in the curtains at the windows.According to Reika, she has designed a couple of escape routes, installed wall-to-wall surveillance cameras and anti-theft devices, and also fitted heavy firearms by the windows, staircase, and balcony in her ordinary home. As for daily necessities, she has set up a designated collection spot near her home with the logistics company, and she would pick them up herself. Her brow was permanently furrowed as she revealed this, albeit it didn't seem to be out of awkwardness. Rather, it made her incredibly uncomfortable to introduce these defense systems one by one. She followed by adding, "It's okay. I'll modify them and swap their spots after you leave."...On the bright side, should The Eternal ever require all sorts of defense systems, you could definitely ask for Reika's help. It's probably for the best not to wonder if her home's defense is an overkill for now.

Albeit armed to the teeth, Reika does have times when she's exhausted as well. Sure, staying suspicious and not trusting others can ensure her "safety," but the mental toll is equally immense, not to mention that she's a pessimist.Reika had always been popular among children since a young age and was relatively well-liked by her peers despite her slight competitiveness. But with her astuteness, she could always sense the signs of lies and deceptions. As time passed, it dawned on her that the admiration from her so-called "friends" was insincere. The biggest blow dealt to her was when she found out that her best friend only hung out with her out of social pressure and, in fact, detested her to the core.From then on, the once cheerful and admired Reika completely gave up on socializing and began displaying massive distrust toward everybody around her. She gradually spoke ill of the hypocrites she knew, virtually begging to be an outcast in the eyes of others. Years later, she ultimately became the B.C.R.L. soldier you are all familiar with.However, after experiencing plenty of things and meeting lots of people, Reika has also found something she cherishes—a myriad of pets she keeps at home. Unlike humans, these innocent animals deserve her complete devotion, always welcoming her merrily whenever they hear the front door unlocking. The other members of Team Meerkat are the exception whom Reika can rest her eyes at ease with, too. Even though she hasn't lowered her guard against all the potential threats in the world, just let her catch a break at least in these moments of tranquility.
